When the Circus Stays Too Long
There's a specific dread that comes with clowns who know exactly what they're doing. Puppeteer Pete operates in that territory. Standing 5.5 feet tall in blood-splattered black and white stripes, he controls a dangling skeleton puppet with fluid, rotating movements that feel far too deliberate for something battery-powered. He belongs in the kind of traveling carnival that shows up without warning and leaves the same way.
The Mechanics Behind the Menace
Pete's head rotates in wide, slow circles, and that motion carries directly into his arms and shoulders, which shift and sway to work the skeleton puppet held out in front of him. The movement reads as purposeful rather than mechanical, which is what makes it work. Powered by 3 AAA batteries, he stands at a full 65 inches, large enough to be spotted from the street and unsettling enough to stop people on the sidewalk.
