Built with Convincing Details
The exterior features a textured, vinyl-like skin layered over a thick foam interior, giving the body its muscular bulk and convincing mass. Sculpted contours ripple along the legs, torso, and tail, while thick plastic teeth and a foam tongue fill the snarling mouth with visceral realism. Stretchy fabric interior cheeks allow the jaw to open and close smoothly without breaking the illusion. Vinyl foam talons cap the feet, grounding the creature with a heavy, clawed stance that feels powerful and authentic.
Total Immersion from the Inside
Entry is seamless thanks to a concealed zipper that runs from the base of the tail to the shoes, allowing the occupant to step directly inside. Once zipped, the performer is completely obscured, with the feet fully enclosed and hidden from view. Inside, a shoulder-worn harness buckles securely. A 3-by-5-inch internal screen displays a live camera feed from the lens positioned in the center of the chest, offering a forward view while the raptor's eyes blink open and close automatically.
Command the Creature
This costume responds to its operator with mechanical precision. A swiveling interior handle controls the head's motion, allowing the raptor to scan its surroundings with calculated menace. A brake-style lever triggers continuous velociraptor audio: meeps, chirps, low growls, and sharp screeches that echo with unsettling realism. A second lever snaps the jaws open and shut, unleashing a thunderous roar that cuts off background sounds and delivers a dramatic punctuation that feels like an imminent attack.
Engineered for Endurance
Interior fans circulate air to keep the performer cool and can be switched on or off as needed. Power comes from a removable 12-volt rechargeable battery that plugs into a standard outlet, with indicator lights revealing the current charge level. Included with the costume is a 79-inch metal support frame that holds the raptor upright when not in use. The performer can even remain inside the suit while it's mounted, extending comfort during long events or display periods.
