This is perhaps one of the oldest monuments in the whole place. I couldn't make heads or tails of the inscription.

Here are two very obscure looking grave markers. It was close to dusk, so I had to use flash when I shot most of these.

Here is one of the lonliest graves in the entire place. I think the grave most likely is older then the tree that stands there now.

That one head stone that's leaning against the tree sort of reminded me of Ebineezer Scrooge's head stone for some reason. That was one creepy place.

That was exactly what it made me think of too.

Whoever was buried there is now probably part of that tree. The roots probably grew right through the coffin. :D

It's kind of romantic when you put it that way.

That wouldn't s uprise me. The skelitol remains are probbly entangled in that tree's root system.

By the way, I took a look at the original jpeg of that photo, and that grave marker does, in fact, show a death date of 1839. It was very hard to make it out, but it does say "died" none the less. So any coffin would be long gone by now.

Wow! Other pics.... I really do like the one with headstone that is leaning against the tree... I am thinking about putting my own headstone on my tree for next Halloween. :D

I think that grave was there before that tree grew in that spot.

That was one of the oldest graves in that cemetery. That's why I said that.
