Re: Let's show our new stuff!!!

I blew so much money on records and a new turn table this year, I haven't really done a lot of Halloween decoration purchasing this year. My father must be rolling over in his grave, or would be if he knew hos much I spend on my stereo system and records. I'm surprised he hasn't come back to haunt ...

Re: LITTLE HALLOWEEN REPORT FOR 2021

Well it's SO NICE TO KNOW that I got someone interested in a new family tradition. With my late brother jack, it was Christmas music every time it snowed, even if it was March or April. With me it's "Little Halloween." So thanks for the kind words. I do think my oldest niece and her husba...

Re: Walpurgisnacht 2021!!

Believe it or not, Berwyn is a town located in the Chicago area. I went up there to shop for a Harley Davidson a long time ago. When they would chant "BERWYN??????" it was usually in reference to that town every time they would get fan mail from that town. It became one of the standard jo...

Re: Member "Touch Base" Centre

Like I said in another thread, I'm glad you're back. I've heard a few stories about Cairo Ill. From what I understand, it formerly had over 12,000 inhabitants, now down to about a thousand or so.

At any rate, I think it will be a great 'haunted road trip' to go on.

Re: Walpurgisnacht 2021!!

I can't believe "Svengoolie" is still on tv some where! Does he still get pelted with rubber chickens? Do they still chant "Berwyn????" What about "narf narf?" That was a Friday night standard when I was a kid. I watched Svengoolie on "Screaming Yellow Theater&quo...

Re: Walpurgisnacht 2021!!

Well, it's May 3rd now. We passed the half-way point. Now it's time to start buying fireworks, for the 4th of July AND for Halloween. That's right. I light off orange and black smoke bombs on Halloween.

Re: Walpurgisnacht 2021!!

Thanks for the reminder!! Just for that, I am going to grill up a hamburger outside on the grill, AND screen the remake of "Halloween," as feature 1, and "Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein" as feature number 2. It's been a while since I screened that one.

Re: 200 days 'til Halloween!...

That's right. October is EXACTLY 6 months away, with just a little over 200 days til the 'big day' itself. Come to think of that, I should be thinking in terms of plans being that it's only 6 months and change until it's Halloween. The Good News is, Halloween will be on a Sunday this year, so once ...

Re: HAPPY BELATED EASTER ONE AND ALL

Actually, Andy, those look pretty awesome. I would have done about the same amount and all in plain colors, too had I been able to get a hold of some dye. At any rate, my younger sister and her grandchildren did all kinds of artistic looking Easter Eggs that some people would not want to break open...

Re: HAPPY BELATED EASTER ONE AND ALL

I was going to color a few eggs, but I didn't get around to it. I waited too long before I shopped for the ribs I wanted to cook for the dinner and by the time I got there, they didn't have any Easter Egg Dye left. At any rate, my sister's grandchildren did color eggs, and she posted plenty of pict...

HAPPY BELATED EASTER ONE AND ALL

Hi Folks: I just wanted to wish everyone a belated HAPPY EASTER, and I hope the 'Bunny Rabbit' was nice to you all! I celebrated with barbecued ribs, a few loud records, and the screening of "Here Comes Peter Cotton Tail." Okay, so Ilike those old Jules Bass holiday classics. At any rate,...

That's a beautiful photo, but I don't have binocular vision, so I didn't get the 3D effect. In case I don't get back here, I hope everyone has a very HAPPY EASTER!!!

Well, this coming Sunday is Spring Forward Sunday, and a week from Saturday is the 1st day of Spring. Hopefully this Covid 19 crises will be over before Easter gets here.

Re: Keeping The Spirit Alive through Netflix

I have "The Babadook" on DVD, and I agree. It was one of the better movies even by today's standards.
