Re: What are you watching?

Right now I am in the middle of a "Blue Bloods" marathon, but I do plan to screen something horror related at some point before the Summer is out. I'm sort of taking a break from horror films right now. I do plan on screen one of my "Star Trek" series and maybe "Hill Street...

Re: Trick-or-Treating During the Pandemic

One of my nieces used a chute for ToT this year, and it sounded like it could a new Halloween tradition, and a lot of fun.
I am actually considering using that method, but with some weird Halloween twist to it.

Re: Let's show our new stuff!!!

I didn't think that would happen either, Murf. In fact, I had a very pessimistic out look for stereo gear in general as the digital seemed to be taking over everywhere, but thanks to the Internet ( I know, that's a digital tech) I found out about vinyl's resurgence, and I've built up a nice collect...

Re: LITTLE HALLOWEEN REPORT FOR 2021

There were some draconian restrictions, and a lot of towns out right banned ToT, but we got lucky here in Streator, and we got ToT ers from other towns. All in all it was a good turn-out, but I should have un plugged my computer after I got finished on this forum, and stayed away from fb all togeth...

Re: Let's show our new stuff!!!

Thanks, Murf. Some of my records are considered to be collectors items. Vinyl is making a huge come-back now a days. At any rate, I do very much love my music and I've always enjoyed and appreciated a fine piece of stereo gear. I also like a good quality camera as I am a retired photographer. Mike

Re: LITTLE HALLOWEEN REPORT FOR 2021

The good news is, August is when all the retailors start putting out Halloween and Fall themed merchandise, and it's a great time to browse the thrift stores as that's also when they put out more Halloween items. I am definitely looking forward to a Covid 19 and politics FREE "Little Halloween...

Re: New Member Introduction, #3

I agree. It seems that it's only been a little while since I took the Christmas decorations down and put the Christmas records, CDs and movies away for the year. Now it's already Mid May.

Re: Let's show our new stuff!!!

I blew so much money on records and a new turn table this year, I haven't really done a lot of Halloween decoration purchasing this year. My father must be rolling over in his grave, or would be if he knew hos much I spend on my stereo system and records. I'm surprised he hasn't come back to haunt ...

Re: LITTLE HALLOWEEN REPORT FOR 2021

Well it's SO NICE TO KNOW that I got someone interested in a new family tradition. With my late brother jack, it was Christmas music every time it snowed, even if it was March or April. With me it's "Little Halloween." So thanks for the kind words. I do think my oldest niece and her husba...

Re: Walpurgisnacht 2021!!

Believe it or not, Berwyn is a town located in the Chicago area. I went up there to shop for a Harley Davidson a long time ago. When they would chant "BERWYN??????" it was usually in reference to that town every time they would get fan mail from that town. It became one of the standard jo...

Re: Member "Touch Base" Centre

Like I said in another thread, I'm glad you're back. I've heard a few stories about Cairo Ill. From what I understand, it formerly had over 12,000 inhabitants, now down to about a thousand or so.

At any rate, I think it will be a great 'haunted road trip' to go on.

Re: Walpurgisnacht 2021!!

I can't believe "Svengoolie" is still on tv some where! Does he still get pelted with rubber chickens? Do they still chant "Berwyn????" What about "narf narf?" That was a Friday night standard when I was a kid. I watched Svengoolie on "Screaming Yellow Theater&quo...

Re: Walpurgisnacht 2021!!

Well, it's May 3rd now. We passed the half-way point. Now it's time to start buying fireworks, for the 4th of July AND for Halloween. That's right. I light off orange and black smoke bombs on Halloween.
