Great jacks! I was lazy, carved only one, though I had three artificial ones.

We had about a hundred TOTers, which is good for us. Some houses didn't participate, but a number did. I think the # of TOTers was a little down, but those of us who decorated and gave out candy were very popular!

Thanks for sharing those! Around here, the moon actually had a halo around it, almost a lunar rainbow. My son, who has a new phone, got some great photos of it.

This week I have gone musical--Phantom of the Opera (25th anniversary performance), Sweeney Todd (Angela Lansbury & George Hearn), movie version of Into the Woods.

Tonighr, Hocus Pocus!

I never got anything weird. The most unusual item I ever got was nickels. One older couple used to offer a bowl full of nickels each year, as many as a child could grab in a hand. It was fun!

Other than some Halloween beanie babies, I don't think I have ever gotten Halloween toys for my kids. What a fun idea to collect them!

Our "party" is always costuming and greeting our TOTers in our yard. At the height of it I stroll the neighborhood to take in the scene. It is sort of a block party around here. I see no signs that this year will be any different. Almost everyone is decorated and ready to go.

Brilliant! Our yard haunt is not quite as elaborate, but several of our neighbors have yards similar to yours.

Are you asking for recommendations? My kids are grown, but I recall a couple of adorable Scary Godmother tv specials that I think were based on books.

I had been wondering where that special was this year. However, like everyone else, I watch it on DVD.
