That pumpkin festival looks like fun. I love that pumpkin tower at night! Beautiful shot of the state line too.

Is that Lake Champlain? You know, Lake Champlain has it's own "Loch Ness Monster" called "Champ"...

It's a river, but I can't remember the name. It was such an amazing view I had to get out and take some pics. I've always heard about the Champlain monster. Are there still sightings?

I think so....
I'm not tops at geography, but I think Lake Champlain is half in the U.S. and half in Canada... Pretty sure part of it is in Vermont... So I don't know if you'll make it there or not, but if you do, keep your camera ready!!
That towering wall of pumpkins is amazing, by the way!

They actually had another tower on the other side of the square, same size. There were pumpkins all along the street, just everywhere. I'm not sure if they beat the Guinness world record again this year or not but it had to of been close. Oh they have this beautiful old theater and they were showing Looney Tunes ALL day. It was sweet

Who carved all the pumpkins? Do they plan in advance to have certain people carving, or is it just anyone can bring a pumpkin and they'll put it up?

Yeah we carved one each and put it out there. Anyone can bring one. Businesses use them to advertise as well. They had a bunch that the local school kids had carved and brought out. I figured it was our only chance to try to be part of a world record.
There were tons of groups and charities selling food, drinks and everything in between. They had live music all day. A radio station was out there. It was fun. By 6pm you couldn't even walk there were so many people. The downtown area was beautiful. They claim to have "the widest Main street in the world."
