Pretty cool set-up, but as for something evil killing Tom's sister, apparently the only living dead is Tom and he said he wanted help. Something evil trying to kill her fitting into this somehow is a real headscratcher.

Tom was not really trying to get help. He was dead the whole time. Some evil spirit or something was messing with her. I don't know. I make up ideas like this but never make up a story. I will make this and other ideas into stories someday soon. Maybe I should start in a few days or weeks.

Here's an idea that I was playing around with.
In the mid 1800s, a wealthy industrialist builds himself a beautiful mansion. This insudtrialist is rich, popular, gives to charities, and goes to church every Sunday, BUT holds a dark secret. In the basement of his huge spacious mansion is a torture chamber where men, women and children are tortured slowly to death in the most agonizing ways possible. His victims are mainly the poor employees who work in his factories, and owe him more money then they cane ver pay. He invites them to his home, promising that if they cooperate with him, their debts will be wiped out, but when they get there they are placed in shackles, brought to the torture chamber where they never see the light of day again. This goes on for years, until this industrialist grows old and dies. According to local legend, this man's death was the most horible ever whitnessed by doctors and servants alike. By the time death finaly comes, this industrialists body is so horibley disfigured by this rotting desease he had, with maggots all over him that the undertaker is even hesitant to go into his room. The odor of death permiates through out the entire house, but the most horrid thing of all is the expression of hellish agony on his dead face. A closed casket wake was held, but only a tiny handful of people came.
The man is burried in the private cemetery outside the huge estate. The basement is bricked off, and nobody ever discovers the gruesome secret until the spirits of those murdered and tortured begin to manifest themselvs. Unexplained sightings, scrreams of agony in the night. Laughter, and the rancid odor of death ever present.

Okay, if you guys like the idea, I'll work on it a little, and post more when I have more written.
Part one of the story will be the story of this gruesome industrialist, and the 2nd part will be the haunted house scenario.

Here is another by me.
There is a woman. A happy woman. She has a good life, a good job and no worry in in the world. All of a sudden she starts having these weird dreams. She wakes up at night after having a weird dream. And after that is keeps happening. In her dreams a guy, pale skin and long hair, keeps walking up to her and saying things like "Why did you do this t-" and she wakes up. She keeps freaking out. And sometimes it happens while she is still awake! Thats all I came up with so far.

Thanks everyone! I have not yet started writing them down. They are just little ideas in my head.

These stories I want to write as novels. Then make movies based on them. Some of my ideas are only going to be movies. Like this story. This story is going to be something like The Birds but with dogs instead. Because I have a phobia of dogs, I came up with this one. Every dog in the world goes crazy and kills people for a reason no one knows. It is going to be one of those movies that is seen through a video camera. Like Cloverfield or Diary Of The Dead. It shows a guy and his friends fleeing hundreds of bloodthirsty dogs while trying to find a safe place to avoid them. I really love this idea!!

I wrote something simular to that years ago when I was in college. It didn't take place world wide, but just in the City of Chicago. It was, as you said, a variation on "the Birds" theme. I reread it when I move to my house, and it was not very good. The tiele of the story/play was simply "Dogs."

I bet your story is better then mine was. I wrote it quite some time ago, and when I reread it it was pretty hokey.
