Since we have the "walker costumes" topic, I thought a "wheel chair" costumes topic would be good too: Here is one for someone in a wheelchair: How about going was the painting "Whistler's Mother"? See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whistler's_MotherYou would wear a black dress and the white scarf.

Again, a wheel chair would lend itself to a robot or evil machine type of a costume. Or how about dressing up as an astronaut, and making the wheel chair up to look like the moon rover.

That is a good idea. One I was thinking of was a King or Queen on a throne. Everyone would have to come up to you that way and you'd be expected to remain sitting while the peasants came to pay their respects. For someone on a respirator, you could be a deep sea diver. (Or someone with the bends, decompression sickness).

You could probably make that into a costume, be "riding the bomb" and it would fit in with sitting in a wheel chair. SpookShowBaby wrote: Has anyone seen Dr. Strangelove???

Not sure if you have heard of this, but theres a video game called silent hill, and they have haunted wheelchairs, you could have the wheelchair be hainted, and have you like strapped in to it, add some cobwebs on it, and you could be the dead victem in the chair, look like a corpse.

How about...
You could dress yourself in Victorian clothing and make you wheelchair look like the TIME MACHINE!
Davros - From Doctor Who.
Abe Lincoln - as in the Lincoln Memorial. Guess you'd have to be all white & marbley-looking!

You could take card board boxes, some pvc, and some paint and build the person in the chair into a tank for halloween that would be so cool to see. some one in a wheel chair dressed as a tank? yea that'd be unique

How about a race car driver. Build the wheelchair into the race car, and strap on a helmet and some gloves and a racer's uniform.
