I'm staring at the computer screen because teenaged son woke me up at three something with an earache, said he wanted to go to the ER about it. But he decided to shower first, and as we were in the car pulling out of the driveway, he said he thought he could wait until the medical clinic opened in the (later) morning. So now he is back in bed, considering whether or not to take a pain pill, and I am sitting at the computer. It is too late to go back to bed and too early to do anything else.

Right now, I am contemplating a 'haunted road trip' for next weekend. I have to wait until next weekend because that's when I get paid. I have not decided on a destination yet, but I'll be sure to let you all know, and post pics after words.

Thanks for the concern, folks. It actually ended quite well for my son, although we got sent to a specialist after the initial visit to his regular dr. in the morning. His problem was an excess of ear wax, apparently, that needed to be vacuumed out of both ears. Immediately he not only felt better, but he said he heard better than he had in years. He was almost giddy about it yesterday afternoon. I guess the build-up had happened so gradually he hadn't realized he was losing his hearing because of the obstruction. I have never had this problem, so I didn't even know it could happen.

Fixing a couple of laptops that a friend dropped off. I seriously don't understand how people get their computers so messed up. Tomorrow I have to play tour guide up in Hollywood. This weekend is a wash. Sigh...
