went to ER yesterday for another Kidney Stone and today found out they want to remove it by surgery I cant afford...

more bad news, the Dr called me at home after getting my results back from the hospital and he said my kidney is starting to shut down.

.Sorry to hear that Spooky. You have to have those stones taken care of soon before it gets even worse. I guess there are different options for getting rid of them but if your kidney is shutting down you'll probably have to do surgery. My nephew used to have problems with kidney stones, said the most painful thing there is is passing one. I'm guessing yours is probably too big to pass. He eventually went on a special diet and hasn't had problems since.
When I got that screw through my foot a couple months ago I went to the urgent care and it only cost me a hundred bucks. Kidney surgery may be a bit more than they can handle though. We also have family health centers here that charge you based on how much you make. Pretty handy if you're out of work and don't have insurance. Maybe check to see if you guys have something like that and if they can handle your case? Good luck.
Also sorry to hear about your neighbor Witchy. As someone who's been out of their house for almost 4 months, I know how it feels. We may be able to move back in at the end of the week though so I guess that's a bit of good news. Probably won't have internet right away. Have to set up my equipment, probably have to buy a new cable modem.

hahahahaha, now I'm all worried I'll come out of surgery with out my ovaries.....lol!
this may be the same stone I had 6mo ago, the Dr isnt really sure, but this one isnt moving and he said it's a little bigger then a BB. He said he doesn’t think I'll be able to pass it and he wants to remove it before my kidney has permanent damage.
Nevermore, I have insurance so this wont be 100% on me but I still have to pay 20% and that is more money then I have, but I have to have it done or else it will be worse later on. Yeah, this is arthroscopic surgery, too much for an urgent care to handle.

Good luck Spooky and you will be in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this. I know it sucks to have to pay some but your health is not something to mess with and needs to be taken care of...but I know financially it can throw you into problems...hope it all works out. God Bless...
