I've seen a very few of them before, and never seen again more than 10 years - something like that.... So, how about you?

I don't believe I have ever seen a ghost, although I have sensed weird stuff in places before. I've felt hauntings but have never seen one.

Not me but I'm sure that if I ever do, I would soon be one myself.

I haven't ever seen one, but you know how sometimes you catch a glimpse of something out of the corner of your eye but when you look its gone, I've had that experience. My husband on the other hand saw his dad on the night of his funeral sitting on the end of the bed in the middle of the night. It freaked him out at the time.

I had that "corner of my eye" experience repeatedly in the summer of '09 when my dog died. I kept seeing her at the gate of our backyard fence, where she loved to stand and watch the traffic. It was also where we had buried her. And I kept seeing her there, but when I would look full-on, she was not there.
It's hard to know, when stuff like that happens, whether you have really seen something, or your mind is just playing tricks on you.

If you have any questions about ghosts, feel free to ask me.

I think some people are more sensitive to these apperitions or sightings then others. With all the haunted places I recently visited, I have still not had any ghostly encounters at all.

I havn't actually seen a ghost. However i've felt a presence before & felt like I was constantly being watched.
It happened when myself & a few friends "managed to get into" an old shut down derelict mental hospital not far from where I live. It was built in 1929 & opened in 1931, before being closed in the 1980's. Lots of people died there over the years.
My mum worked there for years & actually drew me a map of the entire site. It was amazingly accurate, considering she drew the map years after it closed!
We went one night & it was incredibly eerie & such a strange feeling.
We went into one of the rooms & it was ice cold & smelt like someone had just sprayed ladies perfume. That was kind of a wierd feeling.
Unfortunately it has now been turned into a housing estate.
I'm hoping to do the ghost walk in the city where I live this year.

Jack Skellington, I have had the feelings you describe every time I visited the Alamo (not with the smells, though).
I did have a couple of experiences with cigarette odors--don't have time to elaborate now--I'll try to come back later and tell that story.
Ghost walks are great fun and actually rather informative, too. A local story-teller who does a ghost walk up in Nashville said once (in a TV interview) that he regards ghost stories as a way to teach about history. He says you always have to describe setting & era in a ghost story, which is true, and he regards that as a type of history lesson.

I remember feeling a very strange sense of sadness and hopeless when I visited the Bartonville Insane Asylum for the first time, and when I revisited it last June. I attribute that to the nature of the place I visited more then I attribute it to any ghostly apperitions, but I have never had that feeling at any other haunted places that I have visited.
