Well this start on Monday with Friday the 13th and it is strange that they skip part 2 and 4 which I think are 2 of the best in the whole movie series. Then they skip 6 which is another good one. Week 2 focus on Halloween series movies but like other years they focus on the stupid parts 4 and 5 with the thorn storyline instead of the Laurie story. They also have Christine on October 28 which is good. I will watch some of this at night before bed but AMC need to use different movies from both series instead of the same ones every year.

I'm going to see the original "Halloween" in the theatre on the 25th of Oct, but most of the movies I've been watching this October so far, and those that I'll be watching for the rest of the month, will be on my DVD player as I CAN'T STAND all the lousy COMERCIALS! Thank goodness for Netflix and my local video store.

This has showed better movies than the list tells you. Last night they show parts 3 and 4 and those are 2 of my favorite Friday the 13th movies. The only bad part is the commercials on AMC and they cut out most of the gore showed in murder scenes.

That's exactly my problem with AMC, Chang. They BUTCHER those movies in order to make them more 'family friendly,' and to makd eht movie fit their time slot so they can put in tons of comercials. I watched part of their "Walking Dead" marithon last Sunday, and I swear, they had comercials every 2 minutes.

I also watch the Walking Dead series 3 part 1 on Sunday and there was a lot of gore in it. My question is why can they use the gore in Walking Dead but not allowed in Friday the 13th from the 1980s?

That I don't know. I think the editing done to "Friday the 13th" was done primarily to fit the film with comercials into a specific time slot.

There are cuts away from blood and stabbings that only take about 2 seconds of actual time but still they cut them. Maybe it is more acceptable to show the violence gore and murder in Walking Dead because it is a new and popular show and Friday the 13th sequels are regarded and classified as inferior movies by mainstream society? I will still watch as long as they are showing the older versions of Friday the 13th sequels. I always have my DVD copies if I want to see the gore and murder scenes in detail.

It could also be that the station could only get versions of those films that have been edited for television, too.
