I know that it's a little early but I thought I would at least have in mine what I will do for 2012 Mardi Gras and halloween. I am planning to do Charley's Aunt from the play and film of the same name. Jack Benny played "the aunt" in the film and Ray Boldger played "the aunt" in the musical version known as Where's Charley? on Broadway and in the film of the same name. .  Uploaded with ImageShack.us"I'm from Brazil where all of the nuts come from" Best laid plans of mice and men! Many times there are themes to the parties and ideas have to change. Last year since there were seven of us in a small van for my Lundy Gras party ( the day before Mardi Gras) I was told that my dress for the aunt was too big (115") to fit in the car. Oh, well. But my costumer said that the hooped petticoat is not stiff and would bend to fit. But that was after the party! _________________ CHEERS! HAVE A GREAT DAY! AND I AIN'T NO CHICK! My roommate and I have been wanting to do her up as Medusa, with moving snakes on her head, but I couldn't figure out a reliable way to activate the snakes. Now I'm excited to see that they are going to do it on the new season of Face-Off. It may give me some ideas, though I doubt I'd be able to afford the solution. My guess is they'll be using micro-controllers and servos.

Sounds like a great costume!
Clash Of The Titans is a really great movie. I have a copy and play it often.

Clash of the Titans, the classic one is the best than the remake.  The remake doesn't look as much as the old movie.

Hubby gets to pick the theme for next year, and he FINALLY picked our 2012 theme-- Black and White 1920's. We're going to dress in 1920's garb that's grey scale. (I will NOT be a FLAPPER!!) We're also going to paint our skin grey and colour our hair greyscale (probably with the spray hair stuff because I refuse to dye my hair). So fun!... I just hope my allergy shots are working by then!!
... I also decided on a theme for 2013... assuming the world doesn't end on Dec 22, 2012... I want to do at least one American Civil War costume. I will have to see if the husband wants to do the other side of the American Civil War or another war era-- either way, our theme is "WAR"... I was going to go with "Pandora's Box" as a theme, but after having to explain Steampunk 50-gajillion times this year, I decided I wanted to choose something more obvious.
