So I already have 5 confirmed guests to my wife and I's 5th annual Halloween party. We have to send out invites this early otherwise people book up with other parties. I have already been bitten by the "Halloween bug" and I'm super excited already. Only problem is it's so far away

Wow!! Thats early, I think my friends would forget, by time Halloween got here.

Well our party is always the sat before Halloween. Which since I live in the northeast means there was a snowstorm last year. We finally had to postpone it when we saw a car do a 180 in front of our house which meant we went from like 30 guests to about 10. Anyway we do mostly a Facebook invitation and will send reminders/updates as it gets closer. But we know we have to claim the date now. Does anyone else have this problem?

We son't usually get snow, it's usaully rainy or chilly, in the 60's. The last party we had was 3 years ago, and we had 30+ people and everyone dressed up, it was amazing!!

That was the first snow storm I recall in October I'm in northern NJ. We tried so hard to stick it out and have it anyway but it became a safety concern so we had to postpone it. Our normal attendance is about 25 and almost everyone dresses up.

Mine's at the same time, and yeah there are people I have to let know around now so they'll keep the date open. No snow, but it can be chilly. We usually have a fire going outside. Around 15-20 people come. At first it was a mix of costumes and not but more and more people have been coming in costume, so that's cool. One year I went with a tavern theme. But since I don't drink I had a tasting party about a month before to get feedback on what I was planning on serving. I basically bought stuff that had Halloween type labels and a lot of pumpkin ale. The tasting was almost as much fun as the party itself.

I had a lot of different pumpkin beers last year and again because of the snow and only 10 or so people plus since it was now a Sunday it was earlier due to work and whatnot not many of them were drank. I had pumpkin beer in February. However this did lead me to decide that the best pumpkin beer I've had is called Pumpking it's a larger bottle. It tastes like pumpkin pie beer. We're going to do a mad scientist theme this year, mainly because of my newest perchance , the mad scientist!!! I don't think we'll invite as many people this year, we'll see. We are planning on going to see my dad in Oct, so we won't have much time to prep for the party before we go to see him.
